Privacy Policy
This policy explains what data Puremaiden (the "Bot") collects, why, and how it is handled. It applies only to the Bot, not to Discord itself, which has its own Privacy Policy.
1. Data we collect
The Bot only processes data it receives from Discord in servers where it has been added. Depending on how each server has configured it, this includes:
- Identifiers: Discord user, server, channel, role and message IDs.
- Profile data: username, display name / nickname, avatar URL, roles, and server join date.
- Moderation records: bans, kicks, timeouts, mutes, warnings, notes, linked (alternate) account records, the moderator who took each action, reasons and durations.
- Message logs (if enabled by the server): message content, edits, deletions, and attachments (images and videos may be stored in compressed form).
- Member, voice and server logs (if enabled): joins, leaves, nickname/role changes, voice channel activity, and server configuration changes.
- Command usage: which commands were run, by whom, and when.
- Server settings: prefix, logging channels, permission overrides and other configuration.
We do not collect email addresses, IP addresses, payment information, or direct messages sent to other users.
2. How we use data
- To provide moderation and logging features to server staff.
- To let authorized moderators search and review a server's history via the Bot's commands.
- To operate, debug, secure and improve the Bot (including operational logs and performance metrics).
We do not sell data, use it for advertising, or use it to train AI models.
3. Who can see it
Data logged in a server is visible only to that server's staff with the relevant permissions, through the Bot's commands and configured log channels. Data from one server is not shared with other servers. We access stored data only when needed to operate, maintain or troubleshoot the Bot, or when required by law.
4. Retention
- Message logs: kept for 90 days by default.
- Attachments: kept for 30 days by default.
- Moderation records, member, voice and server logs: kept until deleted by the server or until the Bot leaves the server.
- Server administrators can configure shorter or longer retention for their server.
- When the Bot is removed from a server, that server's settings and logs are deleted.
5. Storage and security
Data is stored in access-controlled databases and storage operated by us or our hosting providers. We use reasonable measures to protect it, but no system is completely secure.
6. Your rights
You may request access to, or deletion of, data the Bot holds about you by contacting us. Note that moderation records in a server are maintained for that server's staff; we may refer such requests to the server's administrators, and may retain records where needed for safety or legal reasons. Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR or CCPA), you may have additional rights, which we will honor as required by law.
7. Children
The Bot is not directed at children under 13 (or the minimum age required by Discord in your country). We do not knowingly collect data from them beyond what Discord transmits in servers the Bot is in.
8. Changes
We may update this policy. The "Last updated" date will reflect the latest version.
